The zinc anode is perfectly suited for working with zinc electrolytes. It serves as a sacrificial anode, i.e. the zinc dissolves and regenerates the electrolyte. This guarantees a constantly good deposition. On request, we will offer further electrode sheets. Don't hesitate in contacting us!

Description of the article: Tifoo Yellow chromate conversion coating (1000 ml) – the product features at a glance: yellow to golden finish for zinc and zinc-plated objects ideal as finish for the Tifoo zinc plating solution simple immersion bath, no power supply or accessories available 1000 ml content, completely free from highly toxic chromium(VI) also dyes blue passivated zinc parts yellow, e.g. screws and bolts from the DIY superstore The long-standing common chromium(VI) yellow chromate conversion coating is not allowed in Germany any more, not even for commercial users. This is why TIFOO has developped an alternative based on the much less problematic chromium(III). Yellow chromate passivated parts are aesthetic, non-corrosive and essential for all those who work with, for example, vintage cars. The Tifoo yellow passivation creates a shade that is very similar to a chrome(VI) chromate conversion coating. This shade resembles brass - like the old chromate conversion. Also the iridescence effect of the yellow layer is present. The chromate conversion of zinc and zinc workpieces is done simply by dipping the object into the yellow chromate conversion. Without further tools, you will create a yellow passivation layer within a few minutes. During the passivation, some of the zinc will be removed, or better said, dissolved, so please guarantee that the zinc layer is thick enough (>= 2 µm). This is especially valid if you zinc-plated your workpieces yourself with our TIFOO zinc plating solution. You can cancel this process by taking the workpiece out of the bath and rinsing with distilled water. Should the effect be too weak, just put the workpiece again into the bath until the desired shade is achieved. You can obtain shades from weak bright yellow until golden yellow. Description of the article: Tifoo Blue chromate conversion coating – the product features at a glance: Ideal finish for zinc-plated layers Permanent protection for the zinc layers Ideally to be used with the Tifoo Zinc electrolyte 1000 ml content Excellent for beginners in the hobby electroplating The chromate conversion coating is a quick corrosion protection for zinc and aluminium surfaces. Apply the protection layers (chromate layers) with the Tifoo Blue Chromate Conversion Coating (also called thick film passivation) and give zinc a noble finish. The term chromate conversion coating / thick film passivation of zinc describes the blue undertone that the tin surface will have after the treatment. The chromate conversion coating is realized by dipping the object in a bath of Tifoo Blue Chromate Conversion Bluing. Without the need of any voltage or of working with other tools, you will obtain a thin layer of chemical conversion. The zinc surface is lightly removed with the thick film passivation. The zinc layer should consequently not be too thin, for that can cause erosion of the zinc. Please keep in mind that this is a Cr (III) based variation of blue chromate conversion coating (thick film passivation). The current version based on Cr (VI) isnt allowed anymore in Germany for chromate conversion coating by the directive of the RoHS because of the toxicity of Cr (VI).
