It is essential when repairing or replacing of antique furniture is needed. Furthermore, it gives new brass, copper or bronze hardware and art pieces an antique look. It is ready to use and no mixing is needed. The solution is reusable for multiple applications. Contact of the ageing solution with the blank and cleaned copper, brass or bronze surfaces immediately forms (dependent on the duration of exposure; see the pictures!) a colored antique paint effect. As soon as the desired effect is achieved, the patination process can be easily stopped by rinsing of the object with water. The patination solution does not have to be heated. The Tifoo Ageing solution comes as a concentrate and can be applied by brush or as an immersion bath (dependent on the degree of dilution, see instruction manual). It is not useable for the patination of silver (look for the Tifoo Silver Patination / Blackening solution), aluminium (try our Tifoo Anodising Kits), chrome (take a look at our plating equipment instead) or nickel plated surfaces. IMPORTANT: if you want to obtain deep black copper and brass surfaces, please look for our product "Tifoo Black Magic Quick bluing solution". For outdoors: sealing required! The Tifoo Blue patination dyes copper, brass and bronze in an antique blue colour within a few minutes. According to the treated surface and environmental conditions, the shade can vary to turquoise blue or greenish. This gives an antique finish to e.g. bronze sculptures or copper objects. Its application is very simple: 1. The already cleaned and degreased object is painted on with a thin layer or dabbed with a piece of cloth 2. Then, the solution on the metal is dried exposed to air. A real patina will be created, the same way it happens over decades caused by weather. Thanks to special additives keeps the patina firmly on the metal. We recommend to patinate the object made of copper, brass or bronze in a black colour before. This makes the effect of the blue patina even more realistic. On the black patinated object is then painted on with the blue patination by brush. Perfect for all those who like to do handicrafts, create arte, restore or antique objects. COMPATIBLE: Basis for creative and targeted ageing effects such as blue patina and black patina. NOTE: Product is not suitable for use as gloss spray paint for decoration purposes, e.g. for festivities. The Tifoo bronze paint convinces with its lightfast metallic gloss. This is created by the high proportion of real bronze particles. The quality is permanently maintained by UV and light-resistant pigment in a resistant binder layer. After drying, the paint is waterproof and remains elastic. The paint is mixed ready for use, but it can be diluted as needed (e.g. with spirit or acetone). The paint is suitable not only for painting on canvases, paper, styrofoam, wood and chipboard, etc., but also for decorating, for example, stones or plastic. The paint is applied with an artificial or real hair brush, which can then be cleaned with spirit without leaving any residue. A special feature of bronze paint is that it can be additionally blue-patinated or black-patinated with in-house products.
