It has been given the name "Chamaeleon" because this electrolyte is perfectly compatible with our colour additives and allows you to achieve various gold colourations and shades. This cyanide free gold electrolyte deposits bright layers made of 24 carat real gold, normally without the need of polishing afterwards. The stronger power supply is especially needed for objects with bigger surfaces and when using electrolytes that need a high current density, like e.g. the copper electrolyte. (5 A pro dm²). The Tifoo zinc electrolyte for example needs a current density of about 2 A / dm² for immersion plating. That means that with a 3 A power supply, you can e.g. galvanize a surface of 1.5 dm² = 100 cm², i.e. for example a metal sheet of 15 x 10 cm. For all bigger parts, it is advisable to work with a 10 A power supply. The electrolytes vary here: for a gold electrolyte bath, 0.3 A pro dm² are enough, whereas chrome needs a current density of 15 A per dm².
